Melbourne Zoo

Yesterday we went to the Melbourne Zoo. The exhibits were amazing. Each exhibit was made to feel like you were really in the country that the animals were from. The kids especially enjoyed the monkey exhibit. The monkeys would come right up to the window and interact with the people on the other side. C also loved the koalas, he has really been wanting to see one. The kangaroo exhibit was very unique. They were in an open area- like the Deer Park at Southwick's -for those who have been. There was an open pen you could go in, and you couldn't go off the path, but the kangaroos could go anywhere. We did see one kangaroo by the path and some kids were petting it. But when my loud toddler came near, it quietly hopped away.

A few pics from the day:

Thanks for checking up on us!

  1. Hi Caleb,
We loved the pictures from Lego Land and the Zoo. Nicholas said he enjoyed Lego Land too when he went over April vacation. Sonya would like to know what the weather is like? Eric and Rohit say they misse you and can't wait to play again. Lydia says, have fun! Kayla hopes you are in her class next year. We will keep in touch over the next two weeks.
