We had a good weekend. The weather improved after being miserable on Friday. It was so cold we broke out the hats and gloves for the boys. This weekend was predicted to be rainy- but ended up being beautiful, around 60 degrees, or 15 degrees celsius (I am slowly getting used to figuring out the temperatures by celsius).
Thinking it was going to rain, we went to the Scienceworks Museum. They had a Star Wars exhibit which C loved (and Rob). Even R seemed to enjoy it- although his favorite part was pushing the buttons and listening to the little phones that gave information about the exhibits. They also had two floors of exhibits for kids- with an entire floor for younger kids.
The boys loved seeing the remote control R2D2 rolling around the museum.
R really enjoyed playing in the pretend Cafe', making coffee and bringing food to me.
On Friday the kids and I had gone to a playground (and froze), but did enjoy seeing this cool sculpture displayed there. It moved in the wind and was fascinating to watch.
Today we went to an art fair held on the promenade and picked up some souveneirs for people back home. This afternoon Rob took C to see a local league footy game- one of his co-workers plays on the league and Rob is considering joining. C had a great time with the co-workers five year old son. They played together all afternoon.
My sister is on the plane, on her way here. She only has about twelve hours left, of a twenty-two hour trip.
Thanks for checking on us!
