Happy Birthday to the Queen! We had a three day weekend because of the holiday. We had a great weekend. It started with a game of Australian Rules Football. We went to one of the two stadiums in town with some co-workers of Rob's. They are also here from the States and had a five year old boy who got along great with C.
The game was a lot of fun- and I have never seen a sport quite like it. There were 36 players on the field, and they used a ball somewhat like an American football, but they couldn't throw the ball to each other, they had to kick it. To get a goal they had to kick the ball through the poles at the end of the field. There was a lot of running- the field was huge and the game moved fast.
Saturday I went out by myself and found Target. It wasn't very far away and I was thrilled to find it. It isn't quite the same as Target in the States, but it had what I needed. On Sunday we rented a car and went for a drive by the ocean. Pictures from that are still to come. Today, Monday, C and I met up with a little boy and his mom whom Rob and C had met last week. The boys had a great time together.
