There were sandstone cliffs.

There were stairs leading down to the beach- so we went exploring.

We headed up to a lighthouse.

There was a cute cafe' with this huge tree stump that C just couldn't avoid climbing.
We stopped by a beach for lunch. Despite the chilly weather there were a lot of surfers in the water.

And more trees to climb.

And a playground with trampolines built into the ground. We bought the boys ten minutes of jumping time.

Then we drove up to a forest full of gum trees, following the "koalas" sign. At first they were hard to see.
Then we got used to finding them and saw them everywhere. Most were sleeping and appeared to be big lumps of fur in the tree. But some were awake and eating.

This guy was sound asleep.

This one was right near the road, eating his leaves, and watching us.

C thought this was his tongue sticking out.
Just checking us out...
We went a little further and saw this guy sleeping. He was actually so close we could have touched him (but of course we didn't).

Sorry this post was so heavy on the koala pictures. We were in disbelief every time we saw another koala and I just had to keep taking pictures. We weren't sure we would see even one wild koala- and we ended up seeing at least ten.
Thanks for checking on us!
Yeah, I really don't know how we're going to squeeze it all in, because I want to do that too! The scenery looks so pretty, and the koalas are adorable. I can't believe how many you saw!
