One afternoon on Lady Elliot the boys and I walked to the other side of the island to watch the sunset. Rob was still diving and planned to join us when he was finished. It also happened to be the day that the barge came in. The barge comes to the island every three months bringing large and bulk items that cannot fit on the small airplanes. It can also only come in at high tide because they don't have a pier, so as not to destroy the reef. Rob and I kept commenting on how it must be like Christmas for the people on the island every time the barge came in. Thus, C was under the impression that the barge was full of toys and thought he would get to climb on the barge and choose a toy. He was disappointed to discover that it wasn't full of toys, but did enjoy watching the forklifts and trucks.

Rob walking down possibly the most beautiful beach we have seen.

A family photo! I realize this is the only picture of me on the island. At least I got one!
The reason for walking to the other side of the island...

Thanks for checking on us!
